fa ارزیابی ابتلا به کرونا در بیماران مبتلا به سالک Evaluation of coronavirus infection in patients with leishmaniasis تخصصي Special پژوهشي Research <div style="text-align: justify;">زمینه و هدف: لیشمانیازیس یک بیماری انگلی است که توسط پشه خاکی به انسان منتقل می‌شود و از بیماری‌های آندمیک ایران است. با گسترش همه‌گیری کووید ـ 19 در سراسر جهان، بدون شک این ویروس با بیماری‌های عفونی بومی در مناطق مختلف تلاقی کرده است. در این مطالعه، ابتلا به کرونا در بیماران با سابقه سالک، مراجعه‌کننده به مرکز تحقیقات پوست و جذام تهران مورد بررسی قرار گرفت. روش اجرا: تعداد 91 بیمار با سابقه ابتلا به سالک جهت عفونت احتمالی با SARS-CoV-2 موردبررسی قرار گرفتند. هم‌چنین میزان مراجعه‌کنندگان در طول اپیدمی کرونا با دوره مشابه قبل از کرونا مقایسه شد. یافته‌ها: در مجموع 60% از بیماران مبتلا به سالک، ابتلا به کرونا را گزارش نکردند. در 21% موارد، کرونا خفیف، 13% کرونا متوسط، 3% کرونا شدید و تنها یک مورد مرگ در بین مبتلایان به کرونا با سابقه سالک گزارش شد. میزان مراجعه قبل از شروع اپیدمی کرونا، 2 برابر بیشتر از مراجعه در دوران اپیدمی بود. نتیجه‌گیری: در این مطالعه، به‌طور قابل‌توجهی مرگ‌ومیر و عوارض کووید ـ 19 کمتر گزارش شد. با این حال، مطالعات بیشتری برای بررسی سیستم ایمنی و میزان محافظت ایجادشده توسط لیشمانیازیس جلدی در برابر کووید ـ 19 موردنیاز است. مسائل مختلفی می‌تواند در کاهش بیماران در طول اپیدمی کرونا مؤثر باشد ازجمله عدم مراجعه به مراکز درمانی، کم‌شدن میزان سفرها و رعایت مسائل بهداشتی در طول اپیدمی.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Background and Aim: Leishmaniasis is a parasitic disease transmitted by sandflies and is one of the endemic diseases of Iran. With the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic worldwide, the virus will interface with endemic infectious diseases in different regions. In this study, coronavirus disease was evaluated in patients with a history of leishmaniasis referred to the Center of Research and Training in Skin Diseases and Leprosy. Methods: A total of 91 patients with a history of leishmaniasis were studied for possible SARS-CoV-2 infection. The number of patients referred to the Center of Research and Training in Skin Diseases and Leprosy during the coronavirus epidemic was also compared with the same period before the epidemic  Results: A total of 60% of patients with leishmaniasis did not report coronavirus disease. Twenty-one percent of cases had a mild corona disease, 13% had a moderate and 3% had severe corona disease. Only a single death was reported in corona patients with a history of cutaneous leishmaniasis. The number of referrals before the beginning of the corona epidemic was twice as high as during the epidemic. Conclusion: In these participants, mortality and side effects of COVID-19 were significantly less reported. However, further studies are needed to evaluate the immune system and cutaneous leishmaniasis protection against COVID-19.
